Don Lowe, Co-Founder

I am Don Lowe,  the head “geek” behind Know Me Social Media, or as we like to say KnowMeSoMe (it’s one word around here).  I know the challenges and rewards of running and marketing a business.   As the Social Media wave began to grow in the last few years, I thought that would be a good, inexpensive way to market myself.  Oddly enough, starting that is what got me here.  I recognized that I am incredibly passionate about Social Media.  I became conscious of the fact that there is a method, almost a science, to doing it correctly.   I have studied and continue to learn about Social Media by reading and interacting with some of the nation’s preeminent Social Media gurus.  I have been to several Social Media symposiums around the nation to learn more about this incredible medium of communication.  I recognized that I have a gift for it and truly enjoy it.  I then became aware that there are a lot of people out there that don’t utilize Social Media outlets effectively for their own businesses; merely opening a Twitter account or a Facebook page and waiting for customers to come is not going to work.  I found myself constantly thinking of ways that businesses could be communicating through these outlets to reach their customers, the ideas were endless and I knew it was something I could do for nearly every kind of business out there.  Thus a business was born.  I am very passionate about Social Media and about how to effectively utilize it for business marketing.  I attended San Diego State University with a major in Communications and a minor in Business. I am an avid golfer, information junkie, and tech geek.  I am a lifelong San Diego resident.
